    Bible Society Concert

    'Late at Eight' service

    Next Sunday we have our third 'Late at Eight' service and we'd love to see you there.
    This time we're thinking about what Christmas really means, and how we share the gift of Jesus that we have been given. And of course, unpicking the real Jesus from the world around us is always tricky at Christmas; so many cards with stables, snow and wise men to get through first !
    For our scripture we're going to start with the opening verses of John's gospel but then focus on the last few words of the prologue -
    'The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.'
    Please bring your friends and do come and join us for worship led by Chris, talk and prayers from me.
    Sunday 2nd December, 7.30pm for tea and coffee, service starts at 8.00pm.

    Bible Society Advent Lunch

    12.30 - 13.30 pmSt Mary's Centre, St Mary's RC Church, Hexham

    Bible Society invites you to an Advent Lunch on Wednesday 12th December 12.30 - 13.30 at St Mary's Catholic Church Hexham. Father Peter Stoddart will give a short Advent Reflection, followed by a simple lunch of soup, bread and cheese. No charge but donations for Bible Society are welcomed.
